Our drama classes cater for the individual needs of children, youth and adults in a supportive, positive environment. Senior Primary (Ages 8-11), 5:00pm - 6:30pm Youth (11-17), 11:30am -1pm Action Drama Studio has the following Musical Theatre classes on offer in Eltham: Wednesday: Primary (5-11), 10:30am-11:30am Youth (Ages 11-15), 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Action Drama Studio has the following Drama classes on offer in Eltham: Saturday: Junior Primary (Ages 5-7), 9:30-10:30am. In term 4, students rehearse a short musical theatre play to be performed for an audience in a theatre at the end of the year. Students enjoy dancing and singing to their favourite tunes as well as having opportunities to create their own unique performances. The class is designed to develop confidence in performing on stage and to combine all three skill areas. Students experience acting, singing and dancing activities and exercises that come together in whole musical theatre performances. Musical Theatre classes are for ages 9-13. Youth Acting Classes are for Grades 6-8. Young youth classes cover the whole range of acting skills with extra focus on confidence for career, acting skills for Film, TV and Theatre, finding own acting style and creating own performances. Senior Primary classes are for Grades 3-4. The whole range of skills are taught with extra focus on healthy self esteem, voice, communication, acting techniques and skills. Junior Primary classes are for Grades Prep - 2. The whole range of drama skills are taught with extra focus on confidence, fun, social skills and speech. Every class at Action Drama Studio has a teacher and a teacher assistant who both have qualifications and experience in Education and/or Professional Acting. We aim to instill and encourage the following skills in personal development and acting: Confidence, Managing Shyness, Social Skills, Overcoming Nervousness, Public Speaking, Leadership Skills, Positive Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Making Friends, Communication Skills, Acting for Career, Acting for Fun, Healthy Self Esteem, Influencing Others and Problem Solving.
